Obituary: Pulp Legend Robert Weinberg Dies aged 70

bobWe have received the sad news that Robert Weinberg, the greatest champion of the pulp genre that ever lived, passes away yesterday, September 25th 2016.

Robert Weinberg was undoubtedly the biggest supporter the pulp genre has ever known, having edited hundreds of pulp anthologies, having worked for such big pulp names as Arkham House and Argosy, and having even owned and kept alive dozens of great pulp magazines where others neglected them, most notably Weird Tales.

I hope to write a full article on this great man soon, but now is not the time. Bob was a terrific guy, and his excellent “Annoted Guide to Robert E. Howard’s Sword and Sorcery” has a prized place on my bookshelf. Right now, my thoughts are with Bob’s family and friends.
